Taylor West Weber Water will hold a rate hearing on October 18th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the District office to consider adopting a drought rate and also a special secondary rate for customers who have access to pressurized secondary water. You are invited to attend or call the office for a zoom link.
In response to the current and future drought conditions, the District has developed the following drought rates. These rates will be implemented by the Board based upon conditions each year. The drought rates are calculated to encourage conservation of water and to ensure the District's costs are covered.
|Tier 1||6||10||(per 1,000) 1.00||(per 1,000) 1.00||(per 1,000) 1.00|
|Tier 2||11||30||(per 1,000) 1.50||(per 1,000) 1.90||(per 1,000) 2.50|
|Tier 3||31||100||(per 1,000) 1.95||(per 1,000) 2.45||(per 1,000) 3.25|
|Tier 4||101||and above||(per 1,000) 2.25||(per 1,000) 2.85||(per 1,000) 3.75|
Special Secondary Rates
The District is a culinary (household) water District, however in certain areas where secondary water is not available, the District has allowed outdoor usage. The District's capital and financial plans are based upon providing culinary use for all indoor use and only outdoor use for those who cannot access secondary water. This rate would only affect the following:
The use of culinary water for outdoor use by those who have access to pressurized secondary water would require the District to dramatically alter its capital and financial plans. For this reason this rate is calculated to discourage outdoor use of culinary water. (The red drought rate will supersede the special secondary rate.)
|Gallons||Gallons||Current Rate||Secondary Rate|
|Tier 1||6||10||(per 1,000) 1.00||(per 1,000) 1.00|
